An online shop featuring my upcyled decor. Created with bootstrap and jquery. This site is still a work in progress, looking to add a shopping cart and product pictures rather than placeholders.
Creating beautiful webpages based on design mockups from zeplin.io. Production from mockups is where I learn the most. Following a desingers vision and guidelines requires me to learn new code to impliment the desired final results.
A result of my first hackathon experience. We were to build a winter theme with a click event triggered by an arduino.

An old school chinese menu made responsive for the web, yet purposefully kept nostalgic. Menu was based on a real paper menu given to me by my teacher. The only thing missing is the food stained corners from previous customers.
A UX Proposal featuring empathy maps, journey maps, prototyping, wireframes and presentation for mapping of data visualization. Back story: a zombie outbreak is spreading across the world rapidly. The CDC is looking for field agents to help collect virus strain data in order to help create a vaccine or cure. My part in the team project was empathy mapping, wireframe mockups and the presentation design.
One of my first projects to be given in bootcamp was to create an e-book of the wonderful tale of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol. While simple, the e-book style is consistent througout, with small design details such as drop shadows, and flex styling, slightly higher line heights to enhance the user experience.
My first experience in designing a full site: I was working at an event company in their creative department and trying to find a way to share all new event themes, entertainment options and amentities with our event managers spread across the US. Wix allowed me to choose a blank page and build from there. Responsible for all aspects from copy, content, blog posts and photography, I was thrown in the deep end with floaties on. Wix guided me by not requiring me to learn code, but gave me the freedom to create exactly what we needed.
While I did not create the site, I have written copy for the website including why us, private yacht charters, crew profiles and more.
Anew Paige is a personal blog I started to help my creative process. I am a good writer but rarely have the chance to develop my voice. By having a platform to consistently write to, I am able to strenthen my writing chops as well as share positive personal stories on reflection, mindfulness and perspective.
My name is Kim. I'm a Mountain View, California girl living the Colorado lifestyle in beautiful Fort Collins. A recent Front End Bootcamp grad, I am making a career transition to web design and couldn't be more eager to keep advancing my skills.
I'm passionate about the small things. The tiny details that make something more elegant or clean. The invisible designs that wow you and enhance your experience rather than distract and detract. My strengths are UX/UI web design, mockup production, presentations and copy writing/content creation. My goal is to find an internship with a great team, that is always pushing for the best. I learn through experience, and repetition. Throw me in the deep end with the team and I will figure it out.
When not working, you will find me in the mountains, on the bike path, in my workshop or binging a good show along side my pug Yoshi and my partner, Jeff.
